asked to name a favorite "switcher", many
railfans have put the venerable Alco S-2 at the very
top of their list. These are great looking locos that
have seen service on many of our favorite roads. The
Arnold S-2 sports an all metal body with "see-through"
plastic cab. Noisy when compared to the latest Atlas
or Kato drives ... but a good performing switcher. BLW
