DCC Equipped

Digital Control

In recent years, the growth of DCC or digital control in N scale has really taken off. Reasons are:

#1. The greatest impact on the exlposion of DCC was the release of DCC ready locos. It is no longer necessary to cut and carve frames or solder in "boards". Almost all new N locos are now DCC ready; Atlas even offers DCC equipped locos.
#2. The 2nd reason for the growth of DCC in N is that now virtually all new DCC is "standardized" so that new equipment from different manufactures will "work together".
#3. New features are continually being added. The latest is the addition of reliable "sound" in N scale.
