special edition set features five vintage advertisements
used by the Chesapeake & Ohio in the 40's and 50's
to promote their passenger service. Each of these creative
advertisements
features Chessie the Cat in her traditional sleeping pose.
She was used in hundreds of newspaper and magazine advertisements
through the decades and even today her image still lives
on within the Chessie System logo.

In
1956, the Chesapeake & Ohio produced these
6 paint schemes featuring the "Chessie Route" slogan
on their 50' Pullman Standard Boxcars. Only 1
of each of these C&O "Cameo" cars
were made. Micro-Trains has reproduced this unique
series and all #'s are still available from BLW,
though now DISCONTINUED at Micro-Trains®.
