A
Brief note regarding Bachmann: The
company goes all the way back to 1833. In 1899
through merger, the name changed to
Bachmann Bros. Over the years, they focused on
entry-level train sets, eventually turning to
China for production purposes. Facing a downturn
in business,
they sold the company to Kader Group (their Hong
Kong based Chinese supplier) in 1984. The name
was changed to Bachmann Industries. Through additional
acquisitions (Liliput - Austria) / (Graham Farish
- England) / Williams Electric - US) / (Sanda
Kan - China), Kader is now by far and away the
largest
manufacturer of trains in the world today.
More importantly as far as N scalers are concerned, they have substantially
upgraded the quality, performance and detail of their high-end line-up. Their
