A Brief Historical Overview of this Model:
Meet the winner of the horsepower race: the GE AC6000CW with 6000 hp under the hood - thats more than the Big Boys were able to do. They are about 76 ft. long from coupler face to coupler face and are often run in pairs. On todays railroads, they are the king of the hill! BWL is producing these monsters from GEs Erie, PA plant and our models do them justice. Our P2 AC6000s perform as well as all of our previous releases, which have won praise for their performance. In all-new paint schemes, these AC6000s are handsomely finished and ready for service on your pike!

What can you expect from the AC6000 w/Sound?
... the start-up sequence for this loco is quite interesting: First, the cab interior lights up, as well as the headlights, numberboards and ditch lights, then a small electric warning bell rings for about 3 seconds, then the valves open up and generators start to turn over the prime mover. As the engine revs up, the light in the cab goes out. With added throttle, the loco slowly glides into action, with momentum building up speed.
I have BLI’s DC Master set up to play bell and horns and other sound effects when i run their Locos in DC. When sounding two blasts for forward motion, the ditch lights temporarily and alternately blink on and off. This only occurs when blowing the horn in forward travel. The bell sound is really impressive and loud, with unhurried peals that add to the realism.
