CouplerMate
Rail Bogie is used to connect RoadRailers to rest of the
train. One will connect a whole string of RoadRailers.
If this "section" is at the end of the train,
only 1 CouplerMate is needed. If you wish to run the "cut" of
RoadRailers mid-train, you would then require 2 CouplerMates,
one for use at each end of the string. RoadRailer is not
included, available separately. |
"10,000
and Counting" Amtrak RoadRailer Trailer SKU #290201. This is the 10,000th
DuraPlate RoadRailer Trailer as originally delivered to Amtrak. |

Canadian National RoadRailer (No
Drop Shadows)
CN began its RoadRailer
service between Montreal and Toronto and then expanded it
to Chicago. Then they began interchange
service with the BNSF RoadRailer train from Chicago to California.
These trailers are gray with silver trim and black, white
and red lettering and logos. There are a total of 10 road
numbers in this run. |

Triple
Crown ex CN Dura Plate RoadRailers - New!
|
Triple
Crown Services operates the largest fleet of RoadRailers
in the world. Triple Crown was originally formed by Conrail
and Norfolk Southern to serve their priority customers.
Triple Crowns also run on CP and BNSF. The Triple Crowns
run in unit trains up to 125 units long -- so deLuxe
is offering multiple road #'s.
The latest in this series from deLuxe is a 6 pack of the Tan ex-CN Road Railers.
The 6 Pack includes 3 each of the Tan and 3 of the white scheme (as shown
above). A single car is also available in the Tan scheme. |

Release - Smoothside DuraPlate Road Railer! |
What
is DuraPlate? The DuraPlate trailer sidewalls are made
of a remarkable composite material.
The DuraPlate material is composed of a polyethylene plastic
core sandwiched between two sheets of pre-painted (inner
and outer) high-strength galvanized steel. The result is
an efficient, lightweight, incredibly strong panel that
provides important advantages over both aluminum plate
and traditional sheet and post sidewall designs. Because
the DuraPlate material is stiffer than aluminum, the DuraPlate
trailer does not require the thin exterior posts used on
the plate trailer. The result: a smooth, "clean" outside
wall perfect for customer graphics.
Just like the prototype, the difference between the model
and our plate wall RoadRailer trailer is all in the body.
Train assembly and operation are exactly the same. The
first regular release for this body style is Canadian National.
CN began it's RoadRailer service between Montreal and Toronto
and then expanded it to Chicago. Then they began interchange
service with the BNSF RoadRailer train from Chicago to
California. These trailers are gray with silver trim and
black, white and red lettering and logos. The cartoon RoadRailer
train is reversed on the passenger-side so it always faces
forward. Like many of our RoadRailer releases, these are
available in 2 different 10 packs and a single for a total
of 21 different road numbers. Each 10 pack includes a CouplerMate
rail bogie.
