B&O Railroad Pump House |
The Model:
This model is based on a Baltimore & Ohio prototype. Pump houses were a fixture in rail yards, industrial sites, and as town water supplies from the mid 1800's through today. Changing the roof ridge detail and smoke stack style would allow the model to be used for many other railroads and scenery locations. Once the need for steam pumping was no longer require, many of these buildings were converted to electric drive pumps, or other uses including storage or offices.

Eden Valley Depot Kit |
The Depot:
This
classic American style depot design was used by many
railroads in the first half of the 20th century.
The depot
would be a focal point of the town receiving passengers,
freight, mail, merchandise and needed supplies several
times a day. A few of the railroads that used a similar
design for their depots include the Milwaukee Road, Chicago
Northwestern, and the Canadian Pacific. This model is
developed from Soo Line "Standard First Class Depot" plans.
The Model:
The roof and walls feature Monroe Models exclusive 3D
clapboard and shingles for N scale, which make an accurate
and easy to assemble model. All components are precision
laser cut with peel and stick windows, doors, and trim
for simple painting and construction. The kit is made of
laser cut basswood, micro plywood, fiber board, plastic
parts, plus cast chimneys. Also included are vintage advertising
signs, town name boards, and full photo/diagramed instructions
to make assembly easy and fun.

Trackside Transfer Shed is an all new kit by Monroe
Models. In the kit are precision laser cut wood walls
with tab and slot construction for easy, quick, and
sturdy construction. Also included in the kit is
real corrugated metal roofing, vintage advertising
signs, ten white metal shed doors, water slide decals
for the door numbers, two empty pallets and two pallets
with loads. 4-1/2”L x 2-1/4”W Note: With
the purchase of two kits this building can be doubled
in length.

Overhead Gantry Crane Every railroad
needs an overhead crane to lift heavy objects
from railcars to trucks for delivery to its final
destination. This gantry crane model is created
from an actual prototype erected in the 30's
and still stands to this day. Kit includes white
metal and cast resin parts. The scenery, figures,
vehicles and trees are not included.
