Sound Decoder for the Atlas GP-7, GP-9, GP-30 or
GP-35 locomotive is loaded with features and functions.
In keeping its six decade tradition of moving the
railroading product line forward, MRC’s engineers

technology into this tiny, dynamic new product, the “1955
Atlas Decoder.”

Brilliance" N Gauge Steam Sound Decoder with
19 Accessory Sound Functions includes synchronized
steam
chuff with random sounds. 12 selectable chuff sounds
(4 regular/4 articulated). User selectable 12 different
whistles and 4 bells. Includes these programmable
features: individual sound volumes, either 2-digit
(1-127) or
4-digit (1-9999) addresses, start voltage, acceleration
and deceleration rate, top voltage and 14,28,128
speed steps. Selectable factory default speed curve.
Directional
lighting control for front and rear lights at 0.2
amp rate. Programmable chuff rate and chuff starting

Are
Loco Sounds Only For DCC Guys? …Not Anymore!
- It
can be used in analog DC with any NMRA compatible
dual mode decoder, eg: BLI/QSI, Atlas, Life-Like,
Athearn, MTH, Precision Craft, etc.
- Instead
of having to buy a control box from every company
to operate only their locomotive, this can operate
them all. so all you need is just one box.
- It
operates all the sound functions that the particular
loco has inside of it.
- It
is a very simple 4-wire hook-up - two wires to your
DC powerpack's variable output, and two wires to
the track.
- If
you use non-decoder equipped locos the BlackBox must
be removed from the powerpack to run them.
- The
BlackBox can be used in a layout with block control,
[cab A/cab B], as one of the cabs so you can run
sound loco's on one cab, and normal DCC locos on
the other.
