Kato Kobo Custom Museum of the American Railroads GG-1

The then-owned-by-the-PC GG1 #4902 was decorated in a special commemorative gold and blue paint scheme to celebrate the Centennial of the "wedding of the rails", the driving of the Golden Spike which finalized the United States' original transcontinental railroad in 1869. This GG1 pulled the celebratory "Golden Spike Centennial Limited" train during the final leg of its journey in 1969 from Baltimore, MD to New York's Penn Station, arriving there May 18th 1069, the same day that Apollo 10 was making its voyage to Lunar orbit.

  • Shock absorber construction gives even traction and performance, even on the roughest track.
  • Illuminated + Directional Class lights, headlight, and number boards.
  • Custom painted and detailed to be a distinct and special part of any N scale collection.
  • Modified blower ducts to reflect the later-operated GG1 prototype appearance.
  • Limited one-time production run, never to be repeated.
  • Drop in DCC compatible with the Digitrax DN163K1D or Train Control Systems K1D4-NC decoders.
